Day 1: Kigali to Bwindi via Gatuna border

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a popular gorilla trekking location in Uganda, located in the country’s southwest.

It takes 3-5 hours to drive from Kigali to Bwindi, which is home to mountain gorillas, and it is here that you will undertake gorilla trekking on the second day.

Your Africa Reveal Safaris guide will educate you on possible areas to visit while touring Kigali, including local markets, Gisozi genocide sites, and other historical sites, before departing for Bwindi.

The actual road adventure to Bwindi National Park then begins, taking you through Rwanda’s border towns of Gatuna and Kabale, before arriving in the park to check into your gorilla safari lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking & Travel back via Gatuna to Kigali

After breakfast, gather at Bwindi National Park’s headquarters of the chosen sector for training on gorilla trekking rules from a UWA representative.
