DAY 1: Arrival in the Pearl of Africa – Entebbe                                                        

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your dedicated Africa Reveal Safaris representative, who will extend a warm Ugandan welcome. After a brief introduction, you will be assisted with a private transfer to your chosen hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to unwind with an optional guided walking tour of Entebbe’s botanical gardens and local markets, or simply relax at the hotel. Your adventure officially begins this evening with a welcome dinner, where you can anticipate the incredible journey ahead.

DAY 2: Journey North to the Wild – Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park (B/L/D)

After breakfast, your journey to the untamed wilderness begins. We travel northwest towards the vast Murchison Falls Conservation Area, Uganda’s largest national park. Our first significant stop is the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here, you will embark on a guided nature walk to track the magnificent, endangered white rhinos, an exhilarating prelude to the wildlife encounters to come. Following a delightful lunch at a local restaurant, we continue our scenic drive, arriving at your lodge in Murchison Falls National Park in time to settle in and enjoy a sumptuous dinner.

DAY 3: Savannas, the Nile, & a Waterfall – Murchison Falls National Park   (B/L/D)

Awaken to the sounds of the African bush and set out on an early morning game drive across the park’s rolling savannah. As the sun rises, search for elephants, lions, buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, and a variety of antelopes along the banks of the Nile delta. Return to the lodge for a leisurely lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, a highlight awaits: a 3-hour boat cruise up the Nile River to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls. Drift past schools of hippos, basking crocodiles, and a kaleidoscope of birdlife before witnessing the Nile’s dramatic, thunderous squeeze through a 7-meter gorge. A short, invigorating hike to the top of the falls rewards you with breathtaking views of this natural wonder before you return to your lodge for dinner.

DAY 4: Primates & Plantations – Murchison Falls NP to Kibale Forest NP       (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we depart for the lush, primate-rich forests of Kibale. The scenic drive south takes us through changing landscapes, punctuated by a stop for lunch at a local restaurant. We’ll then make a fascinating cultural stop at the Kagadi Trading Center, a vibrant local hub where you can experience the authentic rhythm of rural Ugandan life. From there, we drive through the rolling hills of the Fort Portal tea plantations, a stunning green carpet leading to the edge of Kibale Forest National Park. You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for dinner and a restful overnight-stay.

DAY 5: The Chimpanzee Kingdom – Kibale NP to Bwindi Impenetrable NP       (B/L/D)

After an early breakfast, you’ll gather at the park headquarters for a briefing before setting off to track our closest relatives, the chimpanzees. This guided trek through the forest is a thrilling search for these intelligent and dynamic primates, culminating in a memorable hour spent observing them in their natural habitat. After returning to the lodge for lunch, we continue our journey south, passing through breathtaking landscapes to the misty hills of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the world-famous mountain gorillas.

DAY 6: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Encounter – Bwindi Gorilla Trekking to Lake Bunyonyi

This is the day you have been waiting for. After an early breakfast, you’ll meet your expert ranger guide for a briefing before entering the ancient, emerald Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Your mountain gorilla trek is an experience of a lifetime. The trek can be demanding but is incredibly rewarding as you hike through dense bamboo and vine-covered slopes in search of a habituated gorilla family. The moment you find them, the hour you spend observing these gentle giants, watching them play, feed, and interact, is profoundly moving. After this unforgettable encounter, we’ll descend from the forest and drive to the serene, picturesque Lake Bunyonyi. Here, you can relax and reflect on your incredible day as you enjoy dinner and a peaceful night by the tranquil waters.

DAY 7: Zebras & Acacia Woodlands – Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the scenic Lake Bunyonyi before we depart for Lake Mburo National Park, a hidden gem of acacia woodland and wetland. En route, we’ll stop at the Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara for a delicious lunch and an optional tour of its fascinating museum, which showcases the culture of the Ankole people. Arriving at Lake Mburo in the late afternoon, we’ll head straight into the park for a thrilling evening game drive (starting at 5 PM). This park is unique for its population of zebras and impalas, and it’s one of the best places in Uganda to spot the elusive leopard. After your drive, you’ll check into your lodge for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

DAY 8: Final Farewell – Lake Mburo NP to Entebbe                                         (B/L/D)

Enjoy a final taste of the African wilderness with one last morning game drive or a guided walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. A walking safari offers an intimate perspective, allowing you to appreciate the smaller details of the bush alongside your armed guide. After this final adventure, we check out and begin our journey back to Entebbe. We’ll stop at the Equator for a memorable photo opportunity and a spot of lunch. You’ll then continue to Entebbe, where we will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport for your departing flight, marking the end of an extraordinary African Reveal Safari.
