After receiving a briefing from the guides, you will begin your walk through the tall forest trees of the Afro-montane Forest zone to reach Sine Camp, which is located at 2596 meters. For roughly six kilometres, the ascent is gradual; after that, it becomes steep as it leads to Sine Hut. Species of exceptionally rare and lovely plants and flowers can be found above 3000 meters, such as giant Heather trees, whose trunks are covered in green moss with old man beards (Usnea lichen) dangling from the branches. You rise early from Bugata Camp and make your way to the 4620-meter top of Weismann’s Peak. It takes eight to ten hours to travel the 3.7 km to the summit and the remaining 9 km to Kiharo camp.
Day 5: Descend Downhill
Return to the basecamp in Kilembe by descending past the moss-covered cliffs and following rivers and lush trees. 7 to 9 hours of walking 14.6 km After reviving and debriefing, proceed to your accommodation for the night. 5Days Rwenzori Mountains Trekking
