Detailed Itinerary: 7 Days Kenya Classic Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arriving in Nairobi, you will be transferred to your accommodation in Lake Naivasha. There will be an arrival dinner and some briefing about your 7 days Kenya safari by our company representative / Guide.
Day 2: Full day Game Drive – Lake Naivasha NP
Wake up early for breakfast before you start out on your first game drive of the trip. The game drive will last for most of the day, take a break for lunch at the lodge as you prepare for the evening game drive in search of Leopards, Lions, Hippos, Giraffes, Zebras, and Buffaloes.
Enjoy evening dinner and watching the sunset over the lake.
Day 3: Drive to Hell’s Gate National Park.
Hell’s Gate National Park is a small park found south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya and northwest of Nairobi.
Hell’s Gate National Park
Hell’s Gate National Park is named after a narrow break in the cliffs, once a tributary of a prehistoric lake that fed early humans in the Rift Valley.
It was established in 1984 and harbors animals like Hyraxes, African Buffalo, Zebra, Eland, Hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, Hyena, and baboons.
Have an early morning breakfast as you proceed to drive to the Hell’s Gate National Park. Spot animals such as giraffes, buffalo, and antelopes.
Walkthrough the gorge with hot water springs, and waterfalls. Return to Lake Naivasha.
Day 4: Transfer to Samburu National Park
Wake up for an early breakfast before proceeding to Samburu National Park. This park offers a different kind of game watching. The Camp sits on the Ewaso Nyiro River, so animals gravitate toward the river.
The journey takes 7-8 hours driving by road. Reach at your booked lodge in the evening as you go for an evening game drive in search of Grevy’s zebras, giraffes, Elephants, Lions, and Leopards, etc.
Day 5: Game Drive – Samburu National Park
Have an early breakfast and go for another full day game drive around the Samburu National Park. Beyond seeing the animals at the river, you will be able to see them among the acacia, and river forests.
There is an opportunity to see the red-robed Samburu tribesmen walking to the river with their cattle.
Day 6: Fly to Maasai Mara
Wake up in the morning for breakfast as you proceed to the airstrip for a domestic flight to Maasai Mara and head over to the Sentinel Eco Camp. Upon arrival, take an evening game drive.
Day 7: Maasai Mara – Nairobi
After having breakfast spend your last morning in Kenya with a different view of a game drive, from a hot air balloon. Catch a flight to Nairobi before departing on your flight home.
