3 Days Uganda Fishing Safari in Lake Mburo

The three-day Uganda fishing safari brings you to Lake Mburo National Park, Western Uganda's sole park containing Rothschild giraffes. The greatest place to go fishing is Lake Mburo, and this vacation package also includes a stop at the Uganda Equator crossing and a game drive. You will stay in your choice lodge for two nights, including meals.
Lake Mburo National Park is the most accessible Uganda safari park, taking only 4 hours to arrive via the Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara road. It covers 260 square kilometers and is mostly made up of picturesque savanna grassland, acacia woodland, and a wetland system with five gorgeous lakes.
At Mazinga Landing Site, you'll face heavy tilapia. Lake Mburo is famous for its six different fish species, but the park also has hundreds of impalas, bushbucks, Burchell's zebras, elands, Rothschild giraffes, birds, topis, lions, warthogs, and other animals. Your journey starts and ends in Kampala/Entebbe.

Itinerary
Day 1
Drive to Lake Mburo National ParkSet out to Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda after a relaxing cup of tea or coffee at a hotel in Kampala/Entebbe. The 260-square-kilometer safari park is about a 4-hour drive from Kampala through the Masaka-Mbarara city road.
On the way, you'll stop at the Uganda equator crossing in Kayabwe before continuing on to Lake Mburo National Park. After lunch, join other guests for an afternoon boat/launch cruise on Lake Mburo, which will depart from Rwonyo jetty.
Your boat excursion will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, and water birds such as the African fin foot, shoebill stork, fish eagle, and others. Return to the lodge to unwind, dine, and spend the night.

Day 2
Sport fishing on Lake MburoEnjoy your breakfast before heading to Mazinga Landing Site on Lake Mburo for a long day fishing expedition. There are six different fish species in this beautiful lake, including tilapia, lung fish, mud fish, and many others. Anglers planning a Uganda safari to Lake Mburo National Park should have their own equipment and a valid fishing license. Return to the lodge to unwind, have dinner, and sleep.

Day 3
Morning game drive and return to Kampala/EntebbeAfter breakfast, go on a morning wildlife drive through Lake Mburo National Park's magnificent savannas. Expect to see cape buffaloes, warthogs, water bucks, Burchell's zebras, topis, lions, leopards, Rothschild giraffes, impalas, and birds, to name a few, from the comfort of your 4x4 Safari Van/Land Cruiser with pop-up roof.
After a 3-4 hour wildlife viewing adventure, return to your lodge, check out, and travel back to Kampala/Entebbe. This concludes your three-day fishing safari at Lake Mburo.
